contents La ontogenia del sistema nervioso: ¿Clave del envejecimiento y de la plasticidad sináptica? "Existe un patrón: la clave está en entenderlo" Ana María López Colomé Froylan Calderón de Anda Medicina aging cell cycle NMDA receptors Alzheimer disease synaptic plasticity Up to now, the cellular and molecular bases of aging and neuralplasticity remain unknown. This paper analyzes this problem froma developmental point of view, taking into consideration thecoexistence of different cellular microenvironments coexisting inthe nervous system (NS), predetermined by specific developmentalpathways, which directly influence the nervous function in theorganism. The developmental changes in the subunit composition of theNMDA subtype of glutamate receptors is analyzed following thisapproach, and changes demonstrated in these structures are comparedwith those observed in receptors from differentiated nervous tissuesas a consequence of plastic phenomena. Finally, based on the resultsof this analysis we postulate an hypothesis relating the developmentalchanges to the Alzheimer´s disease. 2001 artículo científico 0185-3325 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=58232403 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=582 Salud Mental application/pdf Instituto Nacional de Psiquiatría Ramón de la Fuente Muñiz Salud Mental (México) Num.3 Vol.24
