- Evaluación de la validez y confiabilidad de la Escala Cognoscitiva para el Delirium Felipe Vázquez Jesús Ocampo César González Francisco Páez Medicina scale Deliriun cognition The aim of this study was to determine the validity and reliabilityof the Spanish version of the Delirim Cognitive Scale (DCS).Methods: Patients were recruited from 5 hospitalary centersin Mexico City, from the Social Security system. A DSM III-Rdiagnosis of delirium, dementia, schizophrenia and majordepression was required. Two independent evaluators ratedthe DCS in 10 patients with delirium. All patients were evaluatedwith the DCS and the Mini-mental State Examination Test.Results: 22 patients with delirium, 22 with dementia, 25with schizophrenia and 30 with major depression wereincluded. The DCS showed an interater reliability of 0.72 andan internal consistency of 0.77.
