- COLEÓPTEROS DE LA FAMILIA BRUCHIDAE DEPOSITADOS EN LA COLECCIÓN ENTOMOLÓGICA DEL INSTITUTO DE ECOLOGÍA Y SISTEMÁTICA, LA HABANA, CUBA ILEANA FERNÁNDEZ-G ADONIS GONZÁLEZ-C Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) record inventory Entomology conservation of collections The present paper gives information on volume and taxonomic composition of Bruchidae (Coleoptera) deposited in the entomological collection of the Ecology and Systematics Institute, La Habana, Cuba. The inventory includes number of species, genera and specimens, as well as data of labels attached to specimen. The collection contains 318 specimens, 13 genera and 31 species included in three subfamilies. Of the 13 morphospecies, three are identified until genera and 10 to family. A list of species with data about localities, date of collecting and in some cases the host plant are included. The Basic collection contains more number of species and specimens than Gundlach collection which surpasses in endemic and types deposited. The specimens were captured in 13 of the 15 provinces and the special municipality Isle of Young; Provinces with more specimens are La Habana and Artemisa.
