  • Hybrid fault patterns for the diagnosis of gas turbine component degradation J. Kubiak S. G. González R A. García G. J. Gómez Mancilla G. Urquiza B. Ingeniería A degree of wearing out or scaling of the internal components(blading, seals, etc.) can be estimated analyzing the efficiencyof the turbo compressor [1]. The wearing out or deposits on theblade or seal deterioration affects the efficiency of the machinewhich in turn compared to a reference data permits to identifyfaulty components or a group of components and a degree oftheir deterioration [2]. However a precision of this identificationcan be improved involving vibration analysis. It is important tomake this identification on line thus facilitating constructing anappropriate plan for a major overhaul. On the other hand, wearing out of the blades changes theirnatural frequencies and vibration spectrum; sealsdeterioration are caused by excessive rotor vibration or casingdistortion mostly during start-ups. Analyzingsimultaneously the efficiency and vibrations the faults andtheir locations can be identified more precisely. An algorithm for identification of some faults of the gas turbineusing hybrid patterns (efficiency & vibration) is developed. 2005 artículo científico 1665-0654 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=61490202 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=614 Científica application/pdf Instituto Politécnico Nacional Científica (México) Num.2 Vol.9
