Currently, these systems use surface linguistic features or statistical infor- mation. Nowadays, few researchers use deep linguistic information. In this work, we present an algorithm for detecting and measuring textual similarity that takes into account information offered by discourse relations of Rhetorical Structure Theory (RST), and lexical-semantic relations included in EuroWordNet. We apply the algo- rithm, called SIMTEX, to texts written in Spanish, but the methodology is potentially language-independent. 2014 artículo científico 1405-5546 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=61532067008 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=615 Computación y Sistemas application/pdf Instituto Politécnico Nacional Computación y Sistemas (México) Num.3 Vol.18
