  • Reasoning with Inconsistent Possibilistic Description Logics Ontologieswith Disjunctive Assertions Sergio Alejandro Gómez Computación soning ontology rea Semantic Web inconsistency handling Artificial Intelligence We present a preliminary framework for reasoning withpossibilistic description logics ontologies with disjunctiveassertions(PoDLoDA ontologies for short). Given a PoD-LoDA ontology, its terminological box is expressed inthe description logic programming fragment but its asser-tional box allows four kinds of statements: an individual isa member of a concept, two individuals are related througha role,an individual is a member of the union of two ormore conceptsortwo individuals are related through theunion of two or more roles. Axioms and statements inPoDLoDA ontologies have a numerical certainty degreeattached. A disjunctive assertion expresses a doubt respectto the membership of either individuals to union of con-cepts or pairs of individuals to the union of roles. BecausePoDLoDA ontologies allow to represent incomplete andpotentially inconsistent information, instance checking isaddressed through an adaptation of Bodanza’s Supposi-tional Argumentation System that allows to reason withmodus ponens and constructive dilemmas. We think thatour approach will be of use for implementers of reasoningsystems in the Semantic Web where uncertainty of mem-bership of individuals to concepts or roles is present. 2015 artículo científico 1666-6046 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=638067264004 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=6380 Journal of Computer Science and Technology application/pdf Universidad Nacional de La Plata Journal of Computer Science and Technology (Argentina) Num.02 Vol.15
