- Spectral resolution enhancement of hyperspectral imagery by a multiple-aperture compressive optical imaging system H. F. Rueda A. Parada H. Arguello Ingeniería Coded aperture Compressive sensing Hyperspectral imaging Spectral resolution enhancem ent The Coded Aperture Snapshot Spectral Imaging (CASSI ) system captures the three-dimensional (3D) spatio -spectral information of a scene using a set of two-dimensional (2D) random-co ded Focal Plane Array (FPA) measurements. A compres sive sensing reconstruc- tion algorithm is then used to recover the underlyi ng spatio-spectral 3D data cube. The quality of the reconstructed spectral images depends exclusively on the CASSI sensing matrix, wh ich is determined by the structure of a set of rand om coded apertures. In this paper, the CASSI system is generalized by developin g a multiple-aperture optical imaging system such t hat spectral resolution en- hancement is attainable. In the proposed system, a pair of high-resolution coded apertures is introduc ed into the CASSI system, allow- ing it to encode both spatial and spectral characte ristics of the hyperspectral image. This approach a llows the reconstruction of super- resolved hyperspectral data cubes, where the number of spectral bands is significantly increased and t he quality in the spatial domain is greatly improved. Extensively simulated experime nts show a gain in the peak-signal-to-noise ratio ( PSNR), along with a better fit of the reconstructed spectral signatures to the origin al spectral data. 2014 artículo científico 0120-5609 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=64332888009 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=643 Ingeniería e Investigación application/pdf Universidad Nacional de Colombia Ingeniería e Investigación (Colombia) Num.3 Vol.34
