contents Characterization of construction and demolition wastes for civil engineering uses João A. Paschoalin Filho Diego G. Camelo David de Carvalho António J. G. Dias Brenno A. M. Versolatto Estudios Territoriales waste Recycling Civil construction Construction and demolition Construction and demolition wastes have been studied by technical means to develop management tools to reduce environmental impacts. Among the methods evaluated, recycling can be highlighted. This article demonstrates the characterization of engineering parameters for concrete construction wastes obtained at a C&DW recycling plant near São Paulo. To this end, laboratory tests were performed according to relevant technical standards to determine the following characteristics: specific weight, integrity using ultrasound, compressive strength, elasticity modulus, and absorption. The parameters obtained may serve to characterize the waste under study, as well as initial values for the development of basic civil engineering projects with low structural responsibility. 2020 artículo científico 2675-780X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=648167353003 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6481/648167353003/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6481/648167353003/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6481/648167353003/648167353003.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6481/648167353003/movil https://doi.org/10.47842/juts.v3i1.20ISSN:2675-780X en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=6481 Journal of Urban Technology and Sustainability application/pdf Universidade São Judas Tadeu Journal of Urban Technology and Sustainability (Brasil) Num.1 Vol.3
