The scientificand vernacular names, parts employed, forms of preparation and administration, and specimensexamined are listed for each of the taxa involved. Half the plant remedies referred to are used asvulneraries, oxitocics, purges, antidiarrhetic, and expectorants. Cows, horses, and dogs receive thegreatest attention.
