contents A Nomenclatural Conspectus Of Waltheria L. (Malvaceae, Bytterioideae) In Brazil Janice G. Saunders Laurence J. Dorr Biología types Brazil neotype visenia Astropus Saunders, J. G. & L. J. Dorr. 2022. A nomenclatural conspectus of Waltheria (Malvaceae, Byttnerioideae) in Brazil. Darwiniana, nueva serie 10(1): 5-28.A nomenclatural conspectus is presented for the species of Waltheria (Malvaceae: Byttnerioideae) that occur in Brazil. Synonymies for 33 species, 23 endemic, are presented. Seven names are newly synonymized. In addition, eight excluded or unresolved names are discussed. Thirty-nine lectotypes are designated for Waltheria names, one neotype is designated for the name of an Astropus species, and two lectotypes for Visenia. These last two lectotypifications supersede previous ones, which misinterpreted and confused the original material. Waltheria erioclada, generally treated as a synonym of W. indica, is considered here to be a distinct species, and W. martii, also generally treated as a synonym of W. indica, is accepted here as the correct name for W. albicans. 2022 artículo científico 0011-6793 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=66976165021 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/669/66976165021/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/669/66976165021/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/669/66976165021/66976165021.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/669/66976165021/movil 10.14522/darwiniana.2022.101.953 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=669 Darwiniana application/pdf Instituto de Botánica Darwinion Darwiniana (Argentina) Num.1 Vol.10
