Okungbowa Biología basal medium mycelial growth Trichoderma viride Trichoderma viride Pers. isolated from soil was grown on two different solid media(Potato Dex trose Agar, PDA, and Bean ( Phaseolus Phaseolus ) Pod Agar, BPA) impregnatedsep a rate ly with three nitrogen sources at room temperature (29±2 C). Growthrate was determined from the radial growth of the fungus on Petri dishes. Therewas no sig nifi cant difference between radial growth of T. viride on PDA and BPAsup ple ment ed with magnesium sulphate and so di um nitrate (p<0.05%). The fun gusdid not grow on BPA supplemented with sodium nitrite, where as growth of theorganism was observed on PDA treated likewise. Growth of the fungus on ammoniumtreatedBPA was com pa ra ble to the control, while no growth was noticed on PDA. Onthe whole, the growth of T. viride on BPA compared well with that on PDA (p< 0.05%).This is an indication of the possible use of bean pod as a carrier medium for T. viridein biocontrol programmes. 2007 artículo científico 1534-2581 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=68519100 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=685 Micología Aplicada International application/pdf Colegio de Postgraduados Micología Aplicada International (México) Num.1 Vol.19
