Subjects were 38 patientswith type 2 diabetes, diagnosed and treated at theClinical center on endocrinology at the MUSpecializedhospital center for active treatment-Sofia. Control consisted of 100 patients withoutdiabetes.The results from the study proofs the fact that thepatients with type 2 diabetes manage with their dayto-day activities like their colleagues and evenbetter, but they absent from work because of: theirillness, experiencing fatigue and insomnia, pain inhands, legs, joints and muscles. They receivehospital treatment because of the insufficient controlon their treatment and the advanced diabetescomplications.
