contents In Search for a Bourdieusian Approach to “Gentrification”: Looking through the Radiance of Academic Doxa Tadas Šarūnas Política Bourdieu gentrification housing policy symbolic violence Despite the potential of Pierre Bourdieu’s sociology to advance debates of urban studies, this potential is so far used only superficially. But despite the critique for the debate on gentrification, I argue that we should keep on approaching these empiric locations. They enable us to produce sensitive stories on the effects that social forces have on our everyday lives in cities and – in particular – to show the role that housing policy has in the reproduction of power relations. 2021 artículo científico 1648-2425 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=692873972005 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6928/692873972005/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6928/692873972005/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6928/692873972005/692873972005.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/6928/692873972005/movil https://doi.org/10.15388/STEPP.2020.30 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=6928 Socialinė teorija, empirija, politika ir praktika application/pdf Vilniaus Universitetas Socialinė teorija, empirija, politika ir praktika (Lituania) Vol.22
