- Literature, Theory and Application: Reading Stopping by Woods from Psychoanalytic Perspective Arghya Chakraborty Lengua y Literatura Theory Feminism Communication Psychoanalytic Interpretation The literary communication, unlike our daily ways of communication, is something special, having deeper meanings beyond the literal one, which in turn opens a new window giving usglimpses of certain universal aspects of our lives. Poems, in this respect, seem all the moreelusive as having more layers to it than a cursory reading might reveal and Robert Frost’sfamous poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” is no exception to this. Now thequestion arises – How to know the meaning of a poem (or any other literary text for thatmatter) that lies beneath its surface? Firstly, it should be pointed out, following thepoststructuralist literary critics, that there can never be ‘the meaning’ of a text, but rathermultiple meaning can be derived from a single piece and secondly, that derived meaning willdepend on which literary theory one is applying to that particular text. 2016 artículo científico 2455-6580 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=703876853005 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=7038 The Creative Launcher application/pdf Perception Publishing The Creative Launcher (India) Num.3 Vol.1
