Acid sludges are considered as industrial waste and until recently they were dropped directly in sea. Now they are disposed in industrial stuffings together with other residuals, generated in the same refineries. As an alternative to this disposal method, a research was done in the Talara Refinery - Peru, in order to solve this environmental problem.
