  • Cumplimiento de las medidas de radioprotección en los hospitales de la región Amazonas, Perú, abril – julio 2016. Nelson Cesar Santisteban Salaza Biología ionizing radiation radiation protection diagnostic radiology ospitals of the Amazonas region in Peru. Descriptive, cross-sectional and observational study, conducted between April and July 2016; the population consisted of workers and imaging services from six public hospitals located in the provinces of Chachapoyas, Utcubamba and Bagua; the compliance of the radiation protection measures was evaluated with a form of the adapted Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy (IPEN) and the knowledge of the personnel through a questionnaire prepared by the author and validated by expert judgment. It was found that most of the equipment does not have quality control certificates, a high percentage of equipment and workers without IPEN licenses and authorizations, a lack of radiation warning signs in the facilities, inadequate conditions for the operation of some rooms, not all hospitals have dosimetry services, limited availability of radiological protection equipment and poor knowledge of radiation protection in exposed workers. This situation could be considered as one of the biggest limitations to guarantee an adequate functioning of the services. It is concluded that radiological protection measures are not met in the hospitals of the Amazon region. 2019 artículo científico 2319-0612 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=722280832010 es http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=7222 Brazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences application/pdf Sociedade Brasileira de Proteção Radiológica - SBPR Brazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences (Brasil) Num.1A Vol.7
