WHES supports adata warehouse evolution model and its associated language MDL. Using a multidimensional approach, this allows one to defineand modify the warehouse schema (even in the presence of data) independently of the database model used to implement it.WHES also provides tools to populate the warehouse with data extracted from multiple heterogeneous and autonomous sources.WHES is implemented on top of a relational DBMS as a set of interconnected JavaBeans components manipulating XML data.
