contents Pump-pump four-wave mixing in distributed fiber raman amplifiers Marcelo Soto Ricardo Olivares Ingeniería Four Wave Mixing (FWM) power equalization WDM optical networks Distributed Fiber Raman Amplifier (DFRA) In this work, a comprehensive mathematical model which rigorously describes the interaction between stimulatedRaman scattering (SRS) and four-wave mixing (FWM) in distributed fiber Raman amplifiers (DFRAs) is presented. Theparametric effects on DFRAs due to pump-pump FWM processes are completely characterized. Numerical simulationsare contrasted with experimental measurements which were carried out with different configurations of DFRAs. Theresults validate the proposed mathematical model, which can be extended to include other non-linear effects. Finally, the pump-to-pump FWM effects on the spectral gain of a DFRA are analyzed 2007 artículo científico 0718-3291 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=77215203 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=772 Ingeniare.
