- INTEREST GROUPS IN CIVIL SOCIETY REPRESENTATIVENESS AND SOCIAL CONTROL OF THE SUAS – BRAZIL Camila Pereira Lisboa Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) social control interest groups Unified Social Assistance System This article intends to carry out a theoretical reflection on the possible role of interest groups in spaces of discussion and deliberation that make up the social control of the Sistema Único de Assistência Social (SUAS)2 . To help us in this discussion, we rescued some regulations that deal with the practice of social control in SUAS, placing them in dialogue with bibliographic references that help identify action opportunities by interest groups based on these legal prerogatives.
