contents Investigation of the up-conversion processes in Er3+:LiYF4 crystals Fábio Henrique Jagosich Luiz Vicente Gomes Tarelho Laércio Gomes Izilda Márcia Ranieri Ingeniería Energy conversion transfer up Laser emission Laser exitation In this work, we investigated the up-conversion processes inLiYF4 (YLF) crystals doped with 1 mol% of Er3+ and containing50 mol% of Er3+. The up-conversion processes include theexcited state absorption (ESA) of pumping radiation processand the energy-transfer up-conversion (ETU) process. Theluminescence lifetime was measured from decay curve of the4S3/2 t 4I15/2 (556 nanometers [nm]) transition using pulsed laserexcitations tuned between 967 and 999 nm from an opticalparametric oscillator pumped by the second harmonic of aQ-switched Nd:YAG laser. We also studied the dipole-dipoleand dipole-quadrupole interactions that occur among Er3+ ionsin Er (50 mol%):YLF crystal. For this investigation, we usedthe Inokuti-Hirayama model that is due to an energy transferbetween ions without involving the excitation migrationthrough donors. 2006 artículo científico 1678-5428 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=81040113 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=810 Exacta application/pdf Universidade Nove de Julho Exacta (Brasil) Num.1 Vol.4
