The one suggested in this paper focuses on the cultural relationsbetween majority and minority population in the sense, Gregory Bateson (1935) reflectedabout «schismogenesis» or Wilhelm Emil Mühlmann (1962) talked about «antagonisticstyle patterning». The precondition of such a deliberately cultural distancing is deep knowledge of the other side: only a shared space makes sense to the separation of tableand bed. One of the most striking features of the Gypsy contrast culture is the solution ofconflict by mobility and evading; other aspects of the same strategy has been stylized byJudith Okely (1983) to a «purity complex», which looks very archaic or even «Indian». Inwestern societies, where most people lack such rules, dividing clean from unclean items isan excellent technic of social separation (which can be labeled as racism, if the excludedones are minorities (Marushiakova/ Popov 1997), whereas oriental Gypsies, whose socialenvironment follows the purity pattern, get profile by breaking such taboos (s.
