  • FACTORES ASOCIADOS A LA CIBERVICTIMIZACIÓN EN ADOLESCENTES ESPAÑOLES DE 12-14 AÑOS Trinidad Donoso Vázquez Mª José Rubio Hurtado Ruth Vilà Baños Salud adolescents cyberviolence ciberbullying cyberaggression cybervictimization The objective of the presented research is to know aspects related to the victimization of adolescents from 12 to 14 years through the Internet and the mobile phone and in a specific way to identify associated factors and the incidence of cyber-aggression in the cybervictimization. To this end, a survey was carried out, which was answered by a sample of 4,536 adolescents from Secondary Education centers in six communities of the Spanish state. The results of this study shed light on the predictive factors of cybervictimization. The incidence of cybervictimization in cyberaggression and characteristic factors of cyber victims is noted, as they are more aware of the risks in virtual environments and more often use digital platforms. In addition, they develop protection strategies in the form of digital competences: blocking users, establishing privacy options, reporting inappropriate photographs, etc. It has not been possible to confirm the incidence of sex in cyber-violence, with the prevalence of the phenomenon being moderate and similarly affecting boys and girls. An important conclusion is that the circular loop of violence acts to turn victims into potential aggressors, with the implications that this entails on the perpetuation and expansion of the phenomenon.
