  • AUTOPERCEPCION DE LA ADICCION A INTERNET EN JOVENES UNIVERSITARIOS Verónica Marín Díaz Juan M Muñoz González Mª Dolores Hidalgo Ariza Salud Internet Addiction university student The rapid growth of the Internet is a characteristic aspect of today's society. This fact has led to the talk of a new form of addiction, the technological one. Objective. This work analyzes the self-perception that Internet users have about their addiction to it. Method. The Internet Addiction Test by Young (1998) has been used as a tool for collecting information, the sample being studied by Spanish university students (N = 256). By means of a nonexperimental study and with a descriptive-correlational design, it is proposed as a starting hypothesis to demonstrate that students perceive having Internet addiction. Results. After completing the study, it has been found that students do not perceive having an addiction to the network, which makes them reject the starting hypothesis. Conclusions.
