  • Andares sinuanos y habituación etnográfica Jaime Arocha Historia In this article I show how the people from the Sinú valley on the Caribbean lowlandsshaped my ethographical training. I approached them while studying mechanicalengineering at the Universidad de los Andes and as member of that university’sCommunity Development Team. The cultural diversities that I discovered nourished theconversations that I began to have with Alicia and Gerardo Reichel-Dolmatoff as they werecreating the Anthropology Department of the same school. The intensity of those dialoguesnot only made me change my major to anthropology, but to choose the study of the causesof violence as the theme of my future doctoral dissertation. 2006 artículo científico 1794-8886 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=85530503 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/855/85530503/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/855/85530503/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/855/85530503/85530503.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/855/85530503/movil en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=855 Memorias.
