Collected seaweeds of Campeche Banks include 178 species encompassing 22 Heterokontophyta, 93 Rhodophyta, 60 Chlorophyta and three Cyanophyta. Mesophyllum incertum, Apoglossum ruscifolium, Cryptonemia seminervis, Agardhinula browneae, Nemacystus howei, Padina profunda, Nereia tropica, Pseudotetraspora marina, Anadyomene linkiana, A. pavonina, Pseudocodium floridanum and Caulerpa brachypus are new records for Atlantic coast of Mexico.
