contents El fenómeno alelopático. El concepto, las estrategias de estudio y su aplicación en la búsqueda de herbicidas naturales A. de J. Oliveros-Bastida Química bioassay herbicides Allelopathy allelochemicals A general characteristic of the plants is to be sedentary, i.e. to grow up at the same place oftheir germination. This fact limits the plants to escape from attacks, which is the mainmechanism of defense in nature. However, this limitation has been partly overcome using othermechanisms of defense, such as chemical communication with its environment. Thisphenomenon is known as allelopathy, and the agents in charge of that communication arecalled allelochemicals. The aim of this paper is to review the concepts introduced to define theallelopathic phenomenon, the strategies and methodologies to study it in the laboratory, as wellas, research strategies in the way of searching new molecules for the development of naturalherbicides 2008 artículo científico 1666-7948 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=86370102 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=863 Química Viva application/pdf Universidad de Buenos Aires Química Viva (Argentina) Num.1 Vol.7
