Using statistics from Eurostat, a panel data model is estimated with ountry and year fixed effects. Like previous research, we find that per capita income and networksincrease significantly immigrant inflows. As outstanding factors, we introduce the productionstructure and the migratory policy in our analysis. Our results show that whereas agricultureand construction sectors exert pull forces, manufacturing sector reduces considerably migrantdensity. Lastly, we also find that immigration policy influences significantly on the share of immigrants. 2014 artículo científico 1576-0162 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=86632964008 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=866 REM.
