Over the past four decades has been essentially represent migration of people to rural areas, although not exclusively, particularly in many northern countries. The concept focuses on 'permanent' relocation, having distinguished from studies of more 'temporary' movements for the 'counterurbanisation' and in particular the recent debates around ideaia that we now live in an age of mobility leading the questioning of the concept of 'permanent' migration and its implicit separation and prioritization relative to other forms of mobility.
