Química air Ozone spectrum Photometer contamination One of the polluted elements in the enviroment is the Ozone, it is duemainly to the action of the solar light over the nitrogen oxides and thehydrocarbons. The Ozone is a substance that is toxic, wich harmful effectsare equal to the mercury cyanide.The objective of this work is to adapt and constitute an analytic andchemical method, for the determination of the Ozone concentration inthe atmosphere, after that, the results are going to be compare with theozone analyzer(Monitor Labs) of the movil unit for the monitoring the airquality in Bucaramanga.- For the preparation of the cell of measurement,it is put a filter paper, chromatography paper or wet silica gel with thereactive in a protection tube, the thickness of this paper must be very thinand the surface very big. After that, the air wich has ozone is passedthrough the paper, producing in the paper the isatin wich can be extractedby means of a simple solvent as the etanol, the solution is introduced in aphotometer-spectrum with the purpose of finding the absorbency of theisatin need to find the Ozone concentration.The experimental part included: compilation of the samples in sevendifferent stations durin three consecutive months.
