Test cycles are defined according tothe product development plan and an overall test plan is prepared based on itsfunctionalities, which is reviewed and refined before each cycle starts. Exploratory testinghas a fundamental role in this approach. On the one hand, it helps to mitigate possibleerrors in the product risk analysis as leaving out important business functionalities. Theproduct risk analysis must be reviewed when a critical bug for the business is found duringan exploratory testing session, which was not detected by the execution of designed testcases.
