| contents | MoviLog: a platform for prolog-based strong mobile agents on the www Marcelo Campo Cristian Mateos Alejandro Zunino Ingeniería agent mobile code intelligent agents oriented programming Despite the wide availability of Java-based mobile agent platforms, mobile agent development is still recognized forbeing challenging and difficult. This is mainly caused by agents´ location awareness, which implies that developershave to provide code for taking decisions about mobility, in addition to code implementing traditional stationarybehavior. In this article we describe MoviLog, a mobile agent platform for building Prolog-based mobile agentscalled Brainlets. MoviLog implements a novel mobility mechanism, reactive mobility by failure (RMF), that is ableto automatically migrate Brainlets based on its resource needs. MoviLog has been implemented as an extension ofJavaLog, a multi-paradigm language that integrates Java and Prolog. The article also reports on experimental resultson the usage of MoviLog and comparisons with other platforms 2003 artículo científico 1137-3601 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=92572111 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=925 Inteligencia Artificial.
