- Luminescent properties of Al2O3:Tb thin films deposited by spray pyrolysis J. Azorín Nieto A. E. Esparza García M. García C. Falcony Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Optical, structural and morphological characteristics of terbium doped aluminum oxide thin films deposited by spraypyrolysis technique have been studied as the function the deposition parameters such as substrate temperature and dopantconcentration. The spraying solution is prepared by mixing dimetylformamide with an aluminum acetylacetonate. Tbdopingis achieved by adding to the solution the acetylacetonate in different concentrations. In relation to the opticalcharacteristics (Photoluminescence and Cathodoluminescence) of the films, characteristic emissions associated withradiative transitions between the terbium electronic energy levels, have been observed. The overall spectra observedconsist of several peaks associated with such transitions showing a green light emission.
