- Photochemical cross-linking study of polymers containing diacetylene groups in their main chain and azobenzene compounds as pendant groups E. Vigueras-Santiago S. Hernández-López A. Rodróguez-Romero Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Cross linking Diacetylene Photodegradation Photochemical cross-linking studies at different temperatures (room temperature, Tg and maximum exothermal of crosslinkingpeak) are shown for three series of polymers containing diacetylene-groups in the main chain and polarchromophores derived from benzene, azo- and di-azobenzene, as pendant groups. We establish the optimal irradiationtime and temperature that permit them being poled and cross-linked with minimal dye-degradation. The degradationprocess was followed by a diminution of the respective maximum absorption peak. These conditions could extend themean life-time of the second order nonlinear optical properties, studied previously. Photochemical cross-linking at eachpolymer´s Tg (50-130°C) was the most convenient process. It took less than 10 min and was monitored by IRspectroscopy 2006 artículo científico 1665-3521 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=94219101 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=942 Superficies y vacío application/pdf Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencia y Tecnología de Superficies y Materiales A.C.
