  • Decision Making in Multi-Issue e-Market Auction Using Fuzzy Techniques and Negotiable Attitudes Madhu Goyal Jie Lu Guang Zhang Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) Agents Attitudes Fuzzy sets Bidding strategy Linguistic variables Online auctions are one of the most effective ways of negotiation of salable goods over the internet. Softwareagents are increasingly being used to represent humans in online auctions. These agents can systematicallymonitor a wide variety of auctions and can make rapid decisions about what bids to place in what auctions. Tobe successful in open multi-agent environments, agents must be capable of adapting different strategies andtactics to their prevailing circumstances. This paper presents a software test-bed for studying autonomousbidding strategies in simulated auctions for procuring goods. It shows that agents´ bidding strategy explore theattitudes and behaviors that help agents to manage dynamic assessment of prices of goods given the differentcriteria and scenario conditions. Our agent also uses fuzzy techniques for the decision making: to makedecisions about the outcome of auctions, and to alter the agent´s bidding strategy in response to the differentcriteria and market conditions. 2008 artículo científico 0718-1876 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=96530209 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=965 Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research application/pdf Universidad de Talca Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research (Chile) Num.2 Vol.3
