- The Evolution of Community-School Bully Prevention Programs: Enabling Participatory Action Research Raymond P. Lorion Psicología Community scientists must resist the temptation to solveŽ an identified problem. Rather, they must partnerwith members of the community and transfer to them the knowledge and skills to understand and resolve theirneeds. This case-study reports a communitys efforts to reduce school-based bullying. Within a participatoryactionapproach, teachers, students, administrators and parents organized to assess the ways in which members ofthe school-community mistreated each other. Students bullying each other was part of a larger systemic patternin which teachers bullied each other and, with unexpectedly serious consequences, their students. Through theiractive participation, members of the school-community engaged together in understanding and resolving theproblem 2004 artículo científico 0717-0297 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=96713206 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=967 Psykhe application/pdf Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Psykhe (Chile) Num.2 Vol.13
