  • Don’t plan for sick time Rebecca Weaver Disability Compliance for Higher Education I recently went through a wicked bout of COVID. For a whole week, I was incapable of doing much except sip water, eat a little, and watch lots of TV. After I started to recover, I was still very tired for a few days. I count myself lucky and grateful that I had sick time. When I recently started my new job at Kennesaw State University's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, my new boss said to me: “Take your sick time. Take it when you’re sick, take it for your medical appointments, and taken even if you don’t feel that terrible. Mental health days can also be taken with your sick days. You have earned it, it's yours, and if you’re feeling even a little sick, take it.” 10.1002/dhe.32037 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/termsAndConditions#vor
