  • A Miniaturized Low‐Pass Filter Using Simultaneous Loading Magnetic and Dielectric Metasubstrates on SISL Yufeng Ding Kaixue Ma Yongqiang Wang Yi Wu Ningning Yan Xiaoyu Zhai Microwave and Optical Technology Letters ABSTRACT This paper proposes a novel strategy to design a miniaturized low‐pass filter (LPF) based on simultaneous loading magnetic and dielectric metasubstrates on substrate integrated suspended line (SISL) platform. The designed periodic circular spiral‐shaped metasubstrate shows a high effective permeability of 2.6. The designed periodic unequal‐length dumbbell‐shaped metasubstrate shows a high effective permittivity of 17. Therefore, the SISL simultaneous loading magnetic and dielectric metasubstrates platform is proposed. Compared with the SISL LPF without metasubstrate, the proposed LPF designed on the SISL simultaneous loading magnetic and dielectric metasubstrates using low‐cost FR4 shows a compact size of 0.0055 × 0.01 × 0.0022 λg with a size reduction of 86.3% and low loss of less than 0.37 dB with self‐packaging advantage. 10.1002/mop.70592 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/termsAndConditions#vor
