The Ar discharge enhanced seed germination, seedling growth, physiological parameters, and antioxidant enzyme activities. Introducing of 20% CO₂ into Ar discharge resulted in the efficient production of CO, which further enhanced seed germination, mitigated abiotic stress, and inactivated bacterial pathogens. Short plasma exposure times (≤ 3 min) stimulated seed growth, while prolonged exposure (> 3 min) inhibited it. The use of an Ar–CO₂ plasma has been found to expedite seed responses, reaching their maximum at 2 min, compared to 3 min with Ar plasma treatment alone. 10.1002/ppap.70049 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/termsAndConditions#vor |
