The integration of haptic feedback is poised to become a key trend in the evolution of consumer electronics. Among various gestures, the “click” is one of the most commonly used during touchscreen interactions. In this paper, BOE's innovative haptic technology has successfully realized a realistic tactile sensation of a “click” on a resonant haptic device. A series of models were developed to investigate the dynamic response of a haptic device based on glass substrates. The findings demonstrate that a global click sensation can be achieved by tailoring the boundary conditions of the haptic device or actuating different eigenmodes based on the finger's position. Moreover, a significant vibration amplitude, proven to enhance the realism of the tactile click sensation, was achieved through this approach. This work highlights a promising pathway for delivering highly immersive and realistic haptic experiences in future consumer electronics. 10.1002/sdtp.18849 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/termsAndConditions#vor |
