| contents | Development of a multimedia videogrammetric technique in underwater dynamic monitoring Xiaohua Tong Sa Gao Zhen Ye Peng Chen Shijie Liu Xianglei Liu Zhonghua Hong Huan Xie The Photogrammetric Record AbstractImage‐based measurements of underwater infrastructure dynamics is challenging due to the refractive nature of the environment. To mitigate this problem, a multimedia high‐speed videogrammetric technique is proposed. The approach monitors the motion states of the underwater object and introduces a virtual refracting interface compensation model. The spatial expression of the virtual refracting interface is first found as a convex surface. Through the proposed compensation model, the complex multimedia refraction imaging can be easily transformed to simple dual‐media refraction imaging. Combined with high‐speed videogrammetry, this multimedia imaging analysis approach can measure underwater deformation. Simulated and experimental testing confirmed the feasibility and reliability of the proposed approach with sub‐millimetre positioning accuracy. 10.1111/phor.12521 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/termsAndConditions#vor |
