•
This review provides an overview of the antimicrobial activities of medicinal plants from Uzbekistan against human pathogenic microbes. Many traditional herbal plants used in Uzbekistan are rich in bioactive compounds such as essential oils, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, and glycosides. These compounds exhibit antibacterial and antifungal effects and have the potential for development into new pharmaceutical agents. The study emphasizes the need for further research on phytochemistry and microbiology of endemic plants to discover novel antimicrobial drugs.
