- <p>Computational scaling is increasingly constrained by thermal dissipation arising from dipolar magnetic bit architectures. In this work, we present a conceptual framework for emergent magnetic monopoles in spin ice (Dy2Ti2O7) as localized information carriers. We demonstrate that monopole-mediated switching suggests a potential reduction in switching energy approaching 90% under idealized conditions.</p>
