Type locality: Germany.</p><p><b>Type material.</b> Lost (see GAGN Ḗ & JASCHHOF 2021).</p><p><b>Comments.</b> In the original publication, only short remarks are included, without proper description. For example, ‘ <i>H. ampla</i> and <i>H. funesta</i> remain dubious like almost all the species described by Walker and it is not possible to recognize them’. In the same paper, also <i>Planetella granifex</i> (as <i>Pseudhormomyia granifex</i>) and <i>P. cornifex</i> (as <i>Hormomyia cornifex</i>) were described. This species was included in the key by RȖBSAAMEN (1917) among the species with uninodal flagellomeres. Apparently, he referred to females only, as in the case of <i>P. rosenhaueri</i> (see above), because no species of <i>Planetella</i> currently known has uninodal flagellomeres in the males. Unrecognized species.</p> |
