- <p>In 2021, a pair of Lesser Black-backed Gulls<br>Larus fuscus was found nesting in a colony of<br>Caspian Gulls L. cachinnans on Mietków Reservoir<br>(Lower Silesia, SW Poland; 50.951905,<br>16.598952). The nest was located next to a cluster<br>of grass and contained 3 eggs. On June 14–15th,<br>two chicks hatched; hatching from the last egg<br>was not confirmed. It is the first case of a pair of<br>Lesser Black-backed Gulls breeding in the Silesian<br>Ornithological Region. So far, only mixed<br>pairs with the Caspian Gull and the Yellow-legged<br>Gull L. michahellis have been found in the<br>region.</p>
