The Programme stresses that the essential role of sequence related information is not only critical to understand the diversity and breadth of life on Earth but also to ensure an environment friendly food security through agroecology, aquaculture and one health approach of pathogen studies. This role lies not only in the intrinsic value of molecular data, but also in its integration for multiomics analysis with genetics, omics and phenomics data in close collaboration with other research infrastructures. This approach has been in particular engaged in the AGROSERV and PHENET HE-INFRA projects for agroecology and BiCIKL for Biodiversity.
