  • <p><span>The study investigated correlation between socio-economic factors and productive human resource management among selected secondary school teachers in Edo state. </span><span>Correlation research design was adopted for this work because it was used to determine the relationship or association that exists between the dependent and independent variables. The target population was public secondary school teachers in Edo State</span><span>.</span><span><span> </span>Purposive and simple random sampling techniques were employed to select 20 participants</span><span><span> </span>from 10 secondary schools in Oredo LGA of Edo state to form sample size of 200 teachers. A self-structured instrument, Correlation Between Socio-Emotional Factors and Productive Human Resource Management Questionnaire (CBSEFPHRMQ) was used to collect </span><span>data. The instrument consisted of 20 items using a closed-ended format on 4likert point scale. Content validity was affirmed by two experts in the Department of Human Resource Management, Lagos State University of Education, Lagos. Through </span><span>C</span><span>ronbach</span><span>-</span><span>alpha a reliability form, index value of 0.869 was obtained which revealed that the instrument is reliable for the study. Pearson Product Moment Correlation and regression analysis were used to analyse data and test hypotheses at 0.05 significant level. </span><span>The findings revealed that socio-emotional factors have a positive relationship with productive human resource management among secondary school teachers in Oredo Local Government Area. The study concluded that priority should be accorded to </span><span>staff and personnel in an organisation because their quality-of-service delivery is dependent on their psychological disposition.
