Previous records of this species in Taiwanese waters were from offshore islands in the southeast and southwest regions of the island (Suzuki 1985; Chen and Lo 2014). This study reports the presence of this species along the northern coast of Taiwan, where the annual surface seawater temperature in January is more than 5°C lower than that of southeastern and southwestern Taiwan (Central Weather Bureau 2023).</p> |
