| contents |

G-quadruplexes (G4) are non-canonical nucleic acid structures composed of guanine-rich nucleotides. Recent research has revealed a shortened variant called G-triplex (G3), which consists of three guanine tetrads. This review investigates the therapeutic potential of truncated G-triplexes in combination with particular ligands for cancer therapy. We investigate the structural properties of G3, how they are formed inside oncogenic promoter areas, and the development of ligands that specifically bind to and maintain these structures. Furthermore, we look into the implications of G3-ligand interactions for gene expression control, as well as the possibility of incorporating this method into current cancer therapy.

|
