contents
HOTEL: An Earthbound-Inspired Booking System.

HOTEL is a unique hotel booking web application built with ASP.NET, drawing heavy inspiration from the visual style and quirky charm of the beloved SNES RPG, Earthbound. This project reimagines the often mundane process of online booking by infusing it with retro pixel art, thematic room descriptions, and a nostalgic user interface. Users can browse available "rooms" (ranging from standard to whimsically named suites), select their desired dates via a retro-style calendar, and add their selections to a virtual cart, much like a conventional booking platform, but with a distinct 16-bit adventure feel.

Beyond the core booking functionality, HOTEL aims to deliver a memorable and entertaining user experience by incorporating playful, Earthbound-esque elements. This includes quirky data entry fields like "flavor preference" during the checkout process and culminates in an unexpected, humorous "boss fight" sequence before the booking is finalized. The project serves as a demonstration of how thematic design and gamification can transform a standard web application into something more engaging and distinct, blending familiar web technologies with classic gaming aesthetics.
