•
Feminism has always provided rich data in the field of Tamil literary research. Through literature, we can understand the state of marginalization of women, who are the rulers of the world. There are many scenes in literature where women are placed as the center of attention and considered in thoughts related to social problems. Literature has not failed to show the situation where every feminist activity is subjected to criticism and her personal thoughts, life, and feelings are not given space. In this way, the image of the female mythological element, Akalikai, can be seen to be present explicitly and implicitly in the literature of all periods. This article aims to examine the design of Akalikai in the literature of the mythological period from a feminist perspective.
